The Ongoing Seed Of Racism In America

One good operational definition of Racism, would be the belief, that a particular race, especially one’s own, is superior to other races, and, thus, causes those who adhere, to such a belief, to practice discrimination against those, of a different racial or cultural background. The seed of racism was planted in the U.S. , from the very beginning, as this country developed as a nation, and, this is what President Obama is experiencing with the Republican Party. Many individuals in the Republican Party, along with a few Southern Conservative Democrats, in both Houses of Congress, shout for limited government, when they don’t practice what they preach. They say “limited government and big business”, while at the same time receiving tax breaks, from the same government, who they want to be small and limited. Did corporate America say limited government, when they asked for a bailout?  How about Wall street?  Didn’t  they also ask for a bailout ? But, what about limited and small government?  The American taxpayer, bailed these corporate giants out of their mess, including Wall-street, and, I did not notice any strong opposition from the Republican Party. But when it comes to a public option for health care, which would benefit the poor or common man, they are strongly opposed to it, because, many of these Republicans, along with a few Conservative Democrats, are in the back pockets of these powerful insurance companies, and, there is a great deal of simplistic research to back this up. Also, racism is playing a major role, in the Republican Party, under the disguise of  “Conservatism”. Truly, one can be a conservative, and not be a racist, but, I do not think this is the case, with many members of the G.O.P. , and, this also goes for all the Tea Parties, that we are constantly having across the United States. The fact that a Black man is the President of the United States, has blown the minds of many groups and individuals, not only in the U.S., but, others around the world, as well. It is something deep, to mediate upon. An African American male has moved from the slave ship, to the White House, but, this it is not unusual, because blacks are usually, the first the ones to break the color-line, and, then other minority groups follow. This is why I find it very strange, when other ethnic and other minority groups, have the nerve or audacity, to think they are better than African Americans. They want to benefit from the struggle of the African American, and, many of them have, but, when it comes down to it, nobody wants to be the so-called, “nigger”. If one thinks that racism, no longer exist, within the United States, the Obama presidency, probably has changed his or her mind, because his presidency has brought out the true colors of a lot of individuals across this nation, from the Republican Party, to radio and television talk show hosts, from political analysts to  news commentators, angry individuals and groups, have allowed their racism, to surface from the deep pit bottom of their souls. Such individuals, as Bill O’ Relly, Glenn Beck, Shawn Hannity, and Rush Libaugh, just to name a few, are pushing a lot of propaganda, which could lead to a great deal of racial animosty and chaos, in the U.S. , among different individuals and groups. What individuals such as Bill O’ Relly, Glenn Beck, Rush Libaugh, and, Shawn Hannity, must understand, and that is, African Americans are no longer concerned about what white folks think about them, as was the case with their forefathers. America, and the world as a whole, has changed, and, still is changing right before our eyes, and, those who have been traditionally in power, can no longer mistreat people of color, like they use to, back in the so-called, “good old days”. So, I say to all the Glenn Becks, and all the Rush Libaughs, in American, ” a black man, by the name of Barack Obama, is the President of the United States. Get over it and, move on with your lives. Yes, I know that it hurts many of you, to see a black man, as the leader, of, one of the most powerful nations on earth, and, I know why you are angry and hurt. It is very simple, it strikes down any notion of white supremacy”.
