After reading Christopher Dorner’s Manifesto, which is about 11 pages, I was not too shocked concerning some of the allegations that he made about the Los Angeles Police Department. By far I believe that 95% of the allegations he made, were true. However, it does not justify him retaliating by going on a killing spree and assassinating others. For those of you who may not be familiar with the situation, Christopher Dorner was a Los Angeles police officer, who was fired in 2008, because he had allegedly made false accusations concerning his fellow officers. I really do not believe that he made false allegations about the LAPD. He just exposed the corruption and racism that is highly embedded in that department. Unfortunately, Dorner had gone through so many changes while employed as a LAPD officer, and he would not go along with their racist tactics Therefore, he was railroaded by the LAPD for standing up for what he thought was right. This is the present culture of America. Those who stand up for what is right are persecuted. In our society today we call good evil and evil good. Most of us turn our heads and look the other way, when we see others getting mistreated. Now I am pretty sure there were others who knew Dorner was being mistreated. Mainly other minorities who stood by and did nothing. I have seen blacks, Hispanics, Asians, and women, who go along with the status quo. They will see others like themselves being mistreated and they are too scary to do anything about it. I often wonder how African Americans have gotten as far as we have, from the slave ship to the White House, because so many of us won’t even burst a grape in a fruit fight. Nevertheless, Christopher Dorner, stood up for what he thought was right, but in the end, he did that which was wrong by killing innocent victims.

Practically every job advertisement emphasizes that there will be no discrimination based on race, class, sexual orientation, ethnicity, religion, and may be a few others, I did not mention. However, practically everyone knows that this is a big lie, because jobs do discriminate based on the above factors just mentioned. But we lie to ourselves, by pretending to believe such nonsense. No one gets a job just based on his or her qualifications alone. Race, class, sexual orientation, ethnicity, religion, and other factors such as weight, height, looks, age, and disabilities, are all considered in the employer’s decision. Whether it is a single employer’s decision, or a committee’s decision, they will definitely take such factors into consideration. It is impossible to be born on planet earth and not have any prejudice or racists attitudes, because such elements are highly embedded in the agents of political socialization within any society or culture. If any person or group claim that they are not prejudice or do not have any racist thoughts in certain aspects of their lives, they are lying. In fact people who run around saying that they don’t see color, are some of the main ones who have prejudice and racists attitudes. To such individuals being prejudice or racist, means calling someone a derogatory name or committing overt racists acts against another person or group. However, discrimination goes much further than that. If the truth were to be told, we all have a little prejudice and racism in our hearts. I constantly hear professors telling students that if they go to this college and go to that college, they will be able to write their own ticket. What a joke. A 300 pounds woman with a degree from an Ivy League institution, will not get a job as fast as a small pretty petite woman, with a degree from a no named institution, and in many cases the overweight woman may be more qualified than her petite counterpart, but looks are going to play a major role here. The point that I am making here is that, any individual or group will discriminate consciously or unconsciously in some-way or the other. Why? Because it is human nature.

We all know William Shakespeare’s, ” Romero and Juliet “, when two individuals fell in love with one another, while at the same time, coming from families who hated, each other. It was a dichotomy which could rip any lovers apart. The Romeo and Juliet Affect, still exist today in many societies around the world, including ours.. This affect can happen when one becomes emotionally involved with a person of a different, race, ethnicity, class, religion, age, education, gender, or sexual orientation. When one falls in love with a person of a different racial background, and one’s family hates that particular racial group, one is experiencing a Romeo and Juliet Affect. If a person comes from a very wealthy family and somehow happens to fall in love with a much poorer person, and his or her family refers to the poor individual as low-down dirty trash, one is experiencing a Romero and Juliet Affect. For example, I have known several Hispanic girls, whose parents would constantly tell them, that they could bring a white, Asian, or Hispanic guy home, but whatever they did, don’t bring no niggers through their front door. What was interesting about this was, the Hispanics who made such comments, were lower class and poor, and did not have much themselves. Nevertheless, three of the Hispanic females I knew, ended up marrying black guys. One was a barber, the other an engineer, and the third African American male was a vice president of a major cable company. These couples overcame the Romeo and Juliet Affect. Whether they are still married or not, I do not know. The Romeo and Juliet Affect, has caused many to miss out on life, because when one spends his or her life trying to please others, he or she can never develop into what they were created to be. My aunt, who has passed on now, was involved with a white man, and blacks were the ones who gave her the hardest time. I did not realize how racists African Americans could be. This is why I argue that any individual or group can be both racists and sexists. The Romeo and Juliet Affect, has caused some to become very close, while causing others to be emotionally torn apart. The Romeo and Juliet Affect, can make or break a person.

Race pimps are those who love to keep confusion and animosity among different racial groups. One can always tell a race pimp by the conversation that he or she holds. Race pimps, 99% of the time, are always stirring up racial tensions among the lower classes within their own group, by telling them that other sectors of the population are the reason for their shortcomings in life. For example, if many blacks can not experience the American Dream, they are told by the race pimps, that the white man is holding them back. Or if several whites, cannot find decent jobs, they are told by the race pimps in their communities, that blacks and Mexicans, are always taking their jobs through affirmative action. Race pimps keep confusion going among different groups, so that they can project themselves as benevolent leaders of such groups. If there were no racial problems, these pimps would not have a job. Most race pimps, live far above the average middle-class American, and believe it or not, a few of them are quite wealthy. Who are these race pimps? Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck, Rush Limbauch, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, and certain elements of the Tea Party crowd. Most race pimps do not consider other variables which can hinder or advance one’s life, such as class, education, gender, age, religion, or occupation. They are used by the status quo, to keep chaos among the masses, by playing on their fears and emotions. The way to overcome race pimps is through intellectual and spiritual development. As long as these pimps can play the race card, they will constantly keep the races divided and fighting among themselves, and the status quo, can constantly use them and project them as our leaders. I have often heard the mass media refer to Al Sharpton, as a black leader. Now when was the time, that approximately 35 million African Americans in the U.S., got together and voted for Al Sharpton to be our leader? We didn’t. Those in power put him out there to be our leader. Oh yes, by the way, the number one race pimp in America is the mass media, it loves to exploit racial fears and emotions. As stated earlier, through intellectual and spiritual development, race pimps can be defeated, and be out of a lucrative job. Then we will see them, standing in the unemployment line.

It is amazing to me, how Republican political candidates have the tendency to project the image that they are followers of Jesus Christ. But yet, the vast majority of them are nothing but a bunch of hardcore racists, and many of them are either not aware of it, or they just don’t give a damn. Texas governor Rick Perry is my latest example. He had a day of prayer a few weeks ago. However, it is pretty much known among his closest supporters, that he does not like African Americans. This is what gets me about the so-called Christian right wing Republicans. They claim to be God fearing, but have racial hatred in their hearts towards others. They are some of the biggest hypocrites, that I have ever seem. I hate it when the G.O.P., tries to pimp God’s name, when they deep down in their hearts, really do not know Him. Because if they did, they would not have so much racial hatred in their hearts towards people of color, with Republican Presidential candidate, Rick Perry leading the pack. He has cut four billion dollars in public education in Texas. Well, who goes to public schools in Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Fort Worth, and other large metropolitan areas in the Lone Star State? The answer is, mostly blacks Hispanics, and poor whites, and Governor Rick Perry knows this, but he really does not give a damn. Rick Perry is the epitome of racial arrogance. Will he be able to defeat President Barack Hussein Obama, if he is the Republican nominee for the U.S. presidency? Only time will tell, but what I do know is that, he is lying about creating jobs in Texas. Jobs that are minimum wage and below, are not quality high paying careers. Rick Perry has been the longest sitting governor in Texas, and I have not seem him accomplish anything in the state as a whole, as well as doing nothing for the middle and lower class groups in the state. The only thing that I have observed him doing is, walking around making a lot of noise, like an empty wagon. Or as the late soul singer James Brown use to say, ” talking loud but saying nothing “. Rick Perry must understand that his bid for the U.S. presidency will be a very serious struggle. One in which I hope that he does not win.

If one ever wanted to question whether or not racism still exist in America, he or she now knows that it does, after the election of Barack Hussein Obama as the 44th president of the United States. White racism has proliferated like never before, and the vast majority of it is coming from the Tea Party crowd. The Tea Baggers have shown an unadulterated hatred for President Barack Hussein Obama. Many of them have come to political rallies, with guns and signs of Obama looking like Adolf Hitler. It is very difficult for many whites to conceptualize a black man being in the White House. When Obama reached the level of the U.S. presidency, it knocked down all notions of white supremacy. Let it be understood however, when I speak about white supremacy or white racism, I am not talking about all white Americans. There are several whites who do not agree with the actions of the Tea Party crowd, and there are many whites who are neither racists nor sexists. Also, let it be understood that racism does not come from just one group. Blacks, Hispanics, Asians, and others can be racists as well. Nevertheless, no one can deny that racism is playing a major role in Barack Obama’s presidency. For example, it was racism when South Carolina’s Congressman, Joe Wilson, called President Obama a liar, while Obama was making his State of the Union address, to the nation. It was racism when the Republicans, along with their Tea Party crowd, were willing to let the entire country suffer default on it’s debts, in order to embarrass President Obama. Think about it for a moment. These right wing radicals, were willing to let all of us suffer, due to their racial hatred toward Barack Hussein Obama, what a shame. It is white racism when U.S. Senator minority leader, Mitch McConnell (R-KY ), constantly emphasizes that his number one mission, is to make sure that President Obama is a one term president. However, President Obama, brought a lot of this on himself, by appearing to be too soft. He should not have tried to compromise with the Republicans in the first place. One cannot neither negotiate nor compromise, with individuals or groups who perceives one to be subhuman. In other words the Republicans along with the Tea Baggers, are not going to compromise with a nigger, and this is exactly how they see President Barack Hussein Obama, and he needs to wake up and smell the coffee. Also, Michelle his wife, needs to start being more vocal and show more public support for her husband, and stop running around wearing dresses with her arms all out. Wearing such attire, may be great for the woman around the corner, but not for the first lady of the United States. At best Michelle Obama is a ” C “, in looks, and the mass media needs to stop lying by saying that she is so beautiful, because she is not. On her best day, she is just average. President Obama has tried to do a lot in creating jobs for the American people, but those racists Republicans, along with their Tea Party freaks, in the U.S. House of Representatives, are blocking all the good that he is trying to do. For example, Obama has put forth legislation for jobs in the building of infrastructures across the U.S., the hiring of thousands of police officers, firefighters, and school teachers. He also has put forth legislation, to increase job training for youth, between the ages of 16 to 25, so that they can be marketable to work, upon graduating from these programs. Unfortunately, such proposed legislation has been constantly blocked, by right wing fanatics in the House of Representatives. If Barack Hussein Obama, is elected for a second term, he must take off the kid gloves, and start fighting like a heavy weight champion. Then the Democrats, Progressives, and others will truly see the champion that he had always been.

I often hear individuals walking around, hollering that they are biracial, because one of their parents is from another race. However, what the biracial crowd must understand is that, if one of your parent’s is black, then you are black. The notion that being biracial, constitutes another racial group is ludicrous. The United States government has already rule in the famous Supreme Court case, Plessy v. Ferguson in 1896, that one ounce of black blood in you, meant that you were black. Plessy was much more closer to white than a mulatto, he was an Octoroon, which is someone who is seven-eights white and one-eight black. But yet, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that he was black, and, therefore, could not sit in the white section of the train. Plessy had to pay a fine for violating the race code. To all biracial folks, especially those of you, in which one of your parent’s is, or was, either black or white. White folks are not going to let you be white, if you are not white. They look at all you biracial folks as niggers, just as they look at African Americans with two black parents. Not only this, but if you so-called biracial folks were back in the 1920′s and 30′s America, you would not be allowed to enter any white establishments, such as hotels, restaurants, movie theaters, and other public and private accommodations, except maybe through the backdoor. Also, you all would have to sit on the back of the bus, with me and other African Americans. I don’t care if you are half black and half Japanese, or half black and half Mexican, or half black and half Korean, you are still black, so get over it. Therefore, when you see another black person, smile, because you are black too. Yes, I am very much aware of how biracial individuals have to suffer hostility and rejection from both racial groups. I have had biracial friends, and I see how the two racial groups, which they are apart of, give them a hard time. I say to the dark skinned black women, ” stop giving biracial or mulatto black women a hard time. It is not their fault because they are light skinned and have straight hair, anymore than it is your fault for being dark skinned with kinky hair.” Remember, no individual had any choice in choosing his or her parents, and if the truth were to be told, no one is really pure anything. If we were to all go back and study our ancestry, and DNA, we would all find out that, we are all mixed with some other race or ethnicity. So all of this nonsense, about being biracial, is just that, nonsense, because whether you biracial folks like it or not, you are black, just like me.

I sometimes like to listen to satellite radio, and on many of these radio talk shows, I will listen to African American parents who call in and complain about how the educational system in America, is doing black children wrong. Now this is very interesting because several of these same African Americans who are calling in and making such complains, probably do not invest any valuable time or effort in their children’s educational development. I know this to be the case, because as an educator, I have done a great deal of volunteer work in the public school systems in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, and what I noticed was that, the children in the suburban areas, were not necessarily smarter than the kids in the inner cities, as some would have us to believe. It was the fact that the suburban children’s parents were highly involved in their educational development, as compared to the kids in the inner city areas. I noticed the same-thing, when I lived in Columbus, Ohio, Atlanta, Georgia, and Montgomery, Alabama. Parential involvement was the key factor in the success of the children in the suburban areas. What many African American parents need to start doing is, getting more involved in their children’s educational future, by going up to these schools, and siting in on some of these classes, to see what they are teaching their children. Yes, I am very much aware that many of these inner city kids, live in single parent households, and many of these parents work, and thus, cannot afford to take off from their jobs. But, what about those parents who are not working and are living on welfare? Why are they not participating in their child’s or children’s education development? I will tell you why. These parents do not value education, nor do they truly understand it. They send their children to schools out of habit because they have been socialized to do so. Just like many folks go to church out of habit. They do not go to church to seek a great God, who is the Master of the universe, who created space, matter, and time. No, they go to church because their mothers and grandmothers went. Well, the same analysis is applicable to many parents who send their children to school. The point that I am making here is that, many black parents and others, need to stop complaining about, how the public school systems across the U.S., are doing black children harm. Instead, they need to get up off of their behinds and do something about it. Education is only an extension of what parents are teaching their children at home. Home is the cake, the public school system is the icing. Home is the cake, church is the icing. Home is the cake, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, are the icing. Home is the cake, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Simba, are the icing. However, far too many parents do not understand this, especially in the inner city areas. To those African American parents who believe that the public school systems are doing more harm than good to your child or children, get up and do something about it.

How long shall the average American citizen, be ignorant when it comes to race relations in the U.S. ? Time and time again, the American citizenry, has allowed those in power to play the race card. As a result, we have powerless people fighting powerless people. If one were to study the political history of race relations within the United States, he or she would notice that those in power, have always played the race card, in order to keep the less privileged classes fighting among themselves. Too many Americans have the tendency to see political, economic, and social phenomenons, only in terms of race and, thus, ignore other factors, such as class, ethnicity, religion, education, age, gender, or occupation. The war is not between black, brown, yellow, or white. It is between the haves and have-nots. Unfortunately, so many Americans fell to understand this. As long as the elites, can keep the masses fighting for the crumbs from their tables, they will continue to stay in power, and exploit the uneducated and poorer classes of the U.S., citizenry. Below are seven big lies that have been told or projected to the American public by certain groups in power:

(a) Illegal aliens from Mexico, are taking jobs from American citizens;

(b) Blacks and other minorities, are taking jobs from so-called good white folks, and the positions that they hold, they are not qualified for them. They only acquired them through affirmative action;

(c) What is good for corporate America, is good for America and its citizenry in general;

(d) Corporate America, is the number one employer of U.S., citizens;

(e) If one cannot, or does not experience the, ” American Dream ”, someone else, is to blame;

(f) It is the government responsibility, to take care of the poor, on a long term basis;

(g) I became rich or wealthy all by myself, without absolutely no governmental support or assistance.

First, for those who believe that illegal aliens are taking jobs from Americans, guess what? The jobs that illegals do, most U.S., citizens would not do them, because many Americans, perceive such jobs to be beneath them. Secondly, the task of affirmative action, was to give qualified blacks and other minorities jobs or careers, but through the mass media’s propaganda, the correct image of affirmative action has been distorted. Third, what is good for corporate American, is good for the American public. If this statement were true, then why did we as Americans, have to pass the Wagner Act (1935), Norris La Guardia Act (1932), and the Clayton Act (1914)? All of these Acts, dealt with the protecting of workers, from corporate elites, who wanted to exploit them. Corporations are only about profit, and human beings are dispensable, at any time, moment, or place. No, what is good for multinational corporations, is not necessarily good for the American people. Fourth, by far government is the number one employer of the American citizenry, not corporations. Remember, the U.S., political system has over 80,000, governmental entities. When I say government, I mean the federal, state, county, and local systems. Fifth, if I do not experience the ” American Dream “, it is someone else to blame. Most Americans blame the wrong individuals or groups for their shortcomings. Before we start pointing our fingers at others, we must first consider, did we do all we could to make our dreams come true. Then we must consider other factors such as, were our dreams realistic, or were there any financial barriers, and the list could go on and on. Sixth, it is the government’s responsibility to help it’s citizens out, but, it is not the government’s responsibility to take care of the poor or anyone else for that matter, on a long term basis. Seventh, and finally, no one got started without some type of governmental assistance. The notion that I got rich all by myself, without absolutely any governmental assistance, is a lie. The airline and railroad industry, got started with governmental assistance, as well as the bus companies, such as Greyhound and Trailways. Mulinational corporations currently receive tax breaks from the U.S. government, and they will continue to receive them, as long as they are in existence. The point that I am making is, we as average American citizens, must stop seeing everything in terms of race, and, we also must stop letting those in power make fools out of us.

The death of Osama bin Laden, came as a surprise to many individuals and groups around the world. When President Obama made the announcement, to the world that bin Laden had been captured and killed, many rejoiced, while others were in shock. The death of Osama bin Laden, was one major campaign promise that President Obama kept. He was able to accomplish in two-years, what George W. Bush, could not accomplish in eight. Of course unless, Bush was not really trying to catch Osama in the first place. Nevertheless, Osama bin Laden is now history. Many of the right wingers in the U.S., wanted president Obama to show proof of bin Laden’s death by showing pictures, in which he refused. I believe that this was a good judgment call on behalf of President Obama, because it would have been a disgrace, to have pictures floating around showing some individual, who had been shot in the head. Also, such actions could of had a backlash on America by stirring up anger in the Muslim community, who might have felt that the U.S. had gone to far by exploiting the issue. The death of bin Laden, however, does not mean that that the United States is free from terrorist threats, but it does send a message to future terrorists who might have ideas about blowing up certain parts of America. Nevertheless, Al-Qaeda more than likely, will continue to engage in terrorist activities, and the U.S., must understand that as long as its presence is in the middle east, Al-Qaeda will continue to fight to alleviate both it’s presence and influence. However, there are a few questions, that I often ask myself. First, is it the responsibility of the United States, to try, and police the entire world? Second, why does America constantly get involved in these senseless wars under the rubric of so-called Democracy and freedom? Afterall, there were wars in the middle east way before the U.S., ever was a nation. Third, who died and left us in charge? Fourth, why do we as a nation, have the tendency to think that we are so much better than different peoples around the world? If America is really involved in these wars, to protect our freedom and national security, then that is one thing, but, I believe that we get invovled these wars to fight for the interests of the elites around the world, which consists of powerful politicians, corporate managers, and high ranking military officers, and in the end, the poor who fight in these wars are the ones who suffer the most. If Osama bin Laden, was truly responsible for the September 11th, attacks on the twins towers, than justice was served. Now, we all shall see how much longer the U.S. will stay in Afghanistan since bid Laden is no more.
