Politics: A Perfect Scenario

The only way that America will come together as a nation, is when some type of disaster or devastating event occur, that no one could escape. It would have to have such a  devastating impact, whereby, it would not matter whether one was black or white, or Hispanic or Asian. It would not matter whether one was rich or poor, or young or old. It would not matter whether one was a male or female, or heterosexual or homosexual, and, people would not care whether one was a Democrat or Republican. One’s money, education, or status would not be able to  save him or her. It would be a perfect scenario, because it would cause all of us, to come together as one or we would all perish as fools. As long as we live in a society whereby some individuals suffer, while others don’t, there will always be political unrest. In the U.S. , we are taught to go to school and get a good education, because it is the key to success, and, in many cases this may be true. However, no matter how much education one may possess, or how much money he or she makes, if  that person is depending on a paycheck in order to survive, he or she is walking on shaky grounds. This is one of the major downfall of America’s political culture. The system, teaches us to acquire a great deal of education, and, then go out and work for someone else, until we retire. Then when we retire, ( if we live that long ) we live on peanuts. This is suppose to be the ” American Dream “. Get the education, then go out and work for either a big corporation or some large government agency. Then buy the big house and drive a fancy car and  show off all the status symbols of success. This is all fine and well until something happens, to the job or career, and, it really doesn’t matter, whether the circumstances or factors, which caused one to lose his or her job was the individual’s fault or not. The fact is, that person is now jobless.  Not only this, but if a person does not lose his or her job, the individual constantly has to deal with a boss or supervisor telling him or her what to do. Too much time is spent on the job, and, the person does not have enough recreational time for family and friends. The perfect scenario for the American citizen, is to work a business on the side which would given him or her some type of residual income. The days are over when our  grandfathers would tell us how they worked for a company for over 30 years. In our day and time, this is just not happening. Residual income, is income whereby, once a person gets it started, it just keeps on coming. On regular jobs or careers, one has to keep working, in order to make the paycheck, and it really doesn’t matter whether it is a white collar, blue collar, or pink collar profession. Residual income may be the key for many of us to get out of debt. It may be the key for many of us to truly experience financial independence. It may be the key that could open up the treasure chest of human financial freedom.
