Politics: The Destruction Of American Civilization
Rome was a Republic form of government, but, in the end it declined, due to immorality and debauchery. The United States of America, is also a Republic form of government, and, it too is also declining, due to immorality and debauchery. The nation as a whole is declining politically. It is declining economically, and, it is in decline socially. Before an external force destroys a nation it begins to decay internally. Once a country or nation begins to decay internally, it creates an atmosphere, whereby, an external force can take it over. As we all know, a house divided against itself cannot stand. America, is a nation, that is divided against itself. America is divided against itself racially, sexually, religiously, sociologically, and, also in the area of class-ism. The destruction of American civilization, can be contributed to a variety of factors. First, the nation as a whole left the basic Christian values and beliefs that it once stood for. In our political culture today, everyone does what is right in his or her own eyes. Second, the inability of persons to stand for something. Much of the U.S. , citizenry, does not stand for anything. This includes the politician and non-politician, the educated and the non-educated, the rich and the poor, the black and the white, the yellow and the brown, the saved and the unsaved, and, the male and the female. When individuals and groups do not stand for something, they will go for anything. Third, going along just to get alone. These are people who do not want to rock the boat. However, such persons must be reminded that not rocking the boat is why slavery lasted as long as it did in the U.S. . Not rocking the boat is why 50 million babies have been killed through abortions. Sometimes individuals must understand that, not only must we rock the boat, but we must turn the boat completely over if necessary. Fourth, the destruction of the traditional family. The family is the social fabric of any society, and, it is the first form of government. The traditional nuclear family in America, is under attack. The family as we know it, the husband (meaning a man) the wife (meaning a woman) and the children, is being redefined in America’s political culture. The family in the U.S. is being reduced to debauchery, and as a result, the nation as a whole, is quickly moving down the slope of destruction. Due to the destruction of the family, we have more gang violence, teenage pregnancies, kids telling parents what to do, no respect for authority, women killing their children, kids growing up not knowing the social norms of the culture, and the list could go on and on. Fifth, the proliferation of a culture of weak or henpecked men. Men across all racial lines are wearing dresses instead of wearing the pants. Men who will not stand up against women who have the spirit of Jezebel . Men who run around and act like wimps and sissies, under the rubric of being professional. Such actions and behaviors seem to be more prevalent among the so-called highly educated. By no means am I trying to project the image that a man is one who is running around like Rambo with bullets across his chest, because that is a false notion of a man. Nevertheless, the above five major factors are contributing to the destruction of America’s civilization, and they are not conclusive, but, I do believe that they are the main causes for the decline of our culture.

America still has so many centuries to go a nation. Yes, there is a rape on the family but that did not start recently. It began when the blacks were given a little bit of freedom. Their freedom made their masters to come up with ways to break their families apart by throwing their men into prisons instead of schools. Most of these masters are afraid of other people coming up to expose their shortcomings.Again, it will take some time before America seizes to exist because of the kindheartedness of the majority of its citizens.Remember, life is cyclical and so is every civilization, no matter how good. That is the principal law of this universe. Change is the only thing that is constant. America will last much longer if its citizens can reduce the amount of racism etc. Professor feels that “not rocking the boat” is one reason why 50 million babies die through abortion. I disagree. If we can bring back the family, the way it is supposed to be, stop throwing people in jails but educating them, abortion will go down.
I generally agree with the writer’s comments. This nation was started with compromise begininng with the constitution. Not every signer of the constitution got what they wanted or liked 100% what was agreed to, but they agreed to compromise because something great could be achieved. The foundng fathers compromised and tried to see the other person’s point of view. Today, we seems to be a society of special interests, interest in being Christian or Muslin or Jewish, or Hindu, whatever. While I agree everyone should be uncompromising when it comes to their own beliefs, we must compromise when dealing with society. I, as a Christian, am fully convined that Jesus Christ is the only means of salvation, but I must be tolerant of another’s point of view. I can not enforce my beliefs on the other person or restrict their right to believe the way they want, but they can not stop me either. That is where we seem to have the problem, everone expects me , as a Christian, to be tolerant, but they show no tolerance for my beliefs and the fact that this country was founded on Judeo-Christian morals and laws. I am obligated to let people know what I believe is right, but I am also obligated to allow people to disagree with me. America has, in my opinion, moved so far away from God that society is crumbling. That is my belief and I should work to change society back to its roots, but through compromise and tolerance, not being so blind to other points of view that I allow the country to continue to decline. It seems to me that everone is trying to get 100% of their own way and the impact is a disfunctional society that has no direction and continues to be weakened day by day.
