Poltics: I Was Born This Way
If a gay guy says that he was born gay, or if a lesbian says that she was born a lesbian, then where does the argument, ”I was born this way”, begin and where does the argument end? Meaning, if one claims that he or she was born a homosexual, then can the heterosexual male claim that he was born a hoe, and, therefore, claim that he should have Hoe Rights? ( Yes, I am very much aware that the correct spelling for the word ” hoe ” is whore, but I wanted the word to have an ebonical ring to it ) . Can child molesters claim that they were born that way, and, therefore, should be excused for their actions? How about a thief, gambler, or murderer, can they too claim or say the same thing? Again, where does the argument”, I was born this way”, begin, and where does it end? The male or female hoe, can start making demands from the government to allow him or her to have “Hoe Rights”. Now for many this may sound stupid, but remember, people 40 or 50 years ago, would perceived a lot of things that we debate or do today as being stupid, such as gay and lesbian rights, cloning, no smoking in public places, or those who do smoke must be so many feet away from buildings, interracial marriage, or having signs in either English or Spanish. How about individuals who would demand that there be laws, which would allow them to legally marriage more than one partner? The point that I am making here, is that when either an individual or group, can use the argument of being born a certain way, as an excuse for their actions, it can lead a political culture to devastating consequences. Why? Because such an argument has no boundaries, and, for anyone who has studied any type of world civilization, he or she knows that, when every man does what is right in his own eyes, that society is doomed for destruction.

Bowtie professor the argument you are arguing is so right. Individuals will being using “I was born like this,” more often. I do not believe children are born gay. That is a curiosity that individual go through when trying to find themselves. Some people just love action and whatever comes with it. I do believe that it could turn into a dangerous society if the government babysits the gay and lesbians by letting them tell them they were born a way no other individuals/groups were. It is all mental.
I wouldn’t say that a person is “born gay”. It is all just CHOICES that individuals make in life that makes them gay and what not. As your born, you can either be taught or you can learn new things as you grow up. Like for example, when you say that your born as a DANCER, thats a total lie. You go to dancing schools in such a young age to polish your skills thus making YOU learn dancing. Which means that is it not a natural talent that you are born with. It was taught to you at a young age. Therefore, when you see things outside the world, you tend to LEARN from others! It is quite natural that you look at things weird but end up going in the same path that no one would believe you would do. Even though, I do not permit these “gay rights”, I still believe that a person should have their own rights of what they believe in. It’s their own choice of how they want to live their life and we all just need to stay out of their business. If your happy with whatever you choose in life then why bother to scream for your rights? Personally, I would rather see a boy and girl dating, not a girl and girl or a boy and boy dating. But this is reality, and we all have different opinions and thoughts so therefore, I respect other individual’s feelings and thoughts. Whether we like it or not, It is all up to an individual to decide, not us as a SOCIETY.
Gays are not born gay. I do have a gay best-friend but I do not believe that he was born that way. I also have gay family members, but again I don’t believe that they were born that way. In my opinion gays have become the way they are because of the way that they were raised or even some people that they have been introduced to. My best friend told me his story on how he knew he was gay and in his eyes it didn’t come about until he was in middle school. He was basically “hit on” then turned on by another male and from then on males were his preference. He has tried to date females but he always went back to men. I think that at the age he was turned on his brain wasn’t fully developed so with him being turned on by another male at an early age, it kind of stuck with him and that’s all he knows to be attracted to. Of course he knows what the bible says and he knows right from wrong. But being gay is something that he cannot get away from because countless of times he has tried to do the right thing and be what he is supposed to be, heterosexual. So all in all, no one is born gay just as no one is born a whore, thief, or child molester.
I concur with you Dr. Stacey because I find that most people are now coming up with just any excuse to do anything. I’m not for gays and lesbians because I simple disagree with that for a couple of reasons. If one was to use the “I was born like that” to slip through the system and make people believe that he or she cannot change it is only normal for any one to defend themselves with such excuses for their part. Now some may argue that some stuffs are just morally wrong for anyone to do and say that they were born like but then again isn’t “refraining” someone who may claim that they were born like that? We are imperfect, meaning that we tend to do imperfect things, that’s everywhere, but we cannot let our own desires and sometimes our own sick imagination take the best of us and start saying things like “I was born like that” so people got to accept me the way I am, NO NO NO. If that’s the case like you mention Doctor we should be OK to allow rapists and sex offenders roam our streets freely doing what please them because “they were born like that”. That’s some “devlin”. We are now in a society where people don’t want to be rejected and so they will go to great length to show medically that it’s now “possible” for someone to be born with what most of us know is just a deep engrave desire. People want to be accepted and because we now consider anything nowadays “sensible”, we accept even behaviors that’s not acceptable. To me is like accepting an unruly child’s behavior because he was so called born that way. We are intellectual beings with the power to alter the “way we were born” and most over the years have altered it to something totally negative and that’s why we find ourselves with a perverted society. ANYONE ACCEPTING IT OR SUPPORTING IT IS TO BLAME.
I do not believe a child is born gay/lesbian. I too agree that it has to do with the environment the child has been around, and the events the child has been through out his/her life. Come on, can’t we just all get along? There are some religon saying that same-sex marriage destroys the sanctity of the institution for the rest of us. My husband and I have been happily married for 7 years now, and no matter how many gays join us in matrimony, it doesn’t lessen our union one bit. Besides, you wanna know who’s really destroying the sanctity of marriage? I mean completely blowing it out of the water? People like Nathan and Stephanie Sloop. They’re the Layton couple accused of brutally torturing Stephanie’s 4-year-old son, then locking the dying boy in a room while the two of them … GO … OUT … AND … GET … HITCHED. Yeah, boy. There’s an “appropriate” nuclear family for you. But at least Ethan wasn’t raised by a homosexual couple, huh? I believe that we are making a big issue out of something that can be solved on its own. (By letting them be themselves)
No one is never born a certain way. And you mainly hear that saying coming from gays themselves. People are never born gay, it’s something they grow into to. Or they could be hanging aorund the wrong crowd, and deciede they want to be gay. In some cases women or men are raped, or molested when they are younger, which causes some of them to be gay. For women, the thouht of a man touching them brings back memories. And for men, they might have liked the feeling. But if a gay person could say the were born that way then anybody can say they were born a certian way. But it wouldn’t be right because we would have muders, molestors, rapers, drunks, and more out runnnig the streets and the world wouldn’t be a good place to live in. So no one is never born a certain way, they grow up that way

In regards to gay rights and being born this way, I do not believe it is the same thing as a child molester saying he is born this way and then getting out of his punishment. Being gay is not a crime the way molesting a child or raping someone is. I believe that is like comparing apples to onions. If a person wants “Hoe Rights” they need to move to Las Vegas where prostitution is legal.
I don’t believe you can be born gay. I don’t have any kids but I don’t think doctors are giving new born babies blood tests to determine who’s gay or not. For somebody to say they were born gay that person will have to remember every moment of their life from birth to now. I don’t believe anyone can remember the day they were born and how they felt coming out of the womb. I just don’t. If someone is gay then that’s the lifestyle they chose to live. I’m not passing judgment on gay people its just the” I was born this way” excuse has no credibility with me. They have to come up with a better excuse.

I do not think people can be born gay. When you are born, you are born innocent. At that moment a baby does not know if they prefer women or men. Maybe Gay people grey up around other gays or around girls/boys and got confused. This is something only God knows. The only thing I am sure of is that it is wrong and not Godly.
The only thing a person can be born as is what race they are and what gender they are. Other than that no one can be born a homosexual or a murderer. People are warped into thinking what they do. A murderer is tormented into killing. There are not people who just do it as a fun Sunday activity. So no one can be born any other way than what they look like.
